​Angels Of Venice  was founded by harpist Carol Tatum in 1993.  The group's core sound is harp, cello, bouzouki and flute and combines Medieval, early Renaissance and original Alternative World and Neoclassical styles.  With female vocals, the songs are sung in English, Galacian-Portuguese, Latin and archaic French languages.  With male vocals, the music is rock influenced.


Angels Of Venice combines ancient music with modern arrangements of songs from the 12th century and early Renaissance, traditional songs and hymns as well as original neoclassical compositions, taking the listener on a sonically rich journey through various time periods and countries around the world.


Harpist and bouzouki player Carol Tatum is an ASCAP member and published writer holding almost 100 copyrights (CarolTatum Music). Carol has released seven CDs of original music with songs on over 20 compilation CDs for Windham Hill Records/Sony-BMG (click on "Store" above).

Carol is composer, arranger and producer for Angels Of Venice having worked with engineer Florian Ammon (Van Halen, Mariah Carey, Quincy Jones, Rammstein) for the past 20 years.  Carol has also co-written with rock vocalist Lenny Wolf of the band Kingdom Come for his CDs "Hands Of Time" (Polygram), "Bad Image" (WEA International) and "Rendered Waters" (released April, 2011). 


As of 2018, Carol is currently working on a new early music project - Dallas Early Music Ensemble - featuring medieval music from 1,100 to 1,400 A.D. featuring the Cantigas de Santa Maria and early music composers such as Guillaume de Machaut, Gaucelm Faichit, Thibault de Champagne (Carol's 23rd great grandfather) and more.  Carol is joined by recorder player Cornell Kindernacht and his array of recorders ranging from bass recorder to piccolo.  Cellist Pearce Meisenbach (Dalas Opera) will also be featured to complete the harp/recorder/cello trio.  Watch for guest percussionists and vocalists, too!


Angels Of Venice is joined by array of talented guest musicians such as cellists Irina Chirkova (Celine Dion), Cathy Biagini (Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra) and Ginger Murphy (Josh Groban), flutists Susan Craig Winsberg (Mariachi Divas) and Laura Halladay (Linda Ronstadt), vocalists Christina Linhardt (Los Angeles Opera Ring Festival), David Swan Montgomery (Led Zepagain) and vocalist Charles Edward (Seraphim Shock).  Also featured are violinist Eric Gorfain (Page/Plant ) and Carol's cousin guitarist Gary Myrick (Gary Myrick & The Figures) playing slide guitar on the power ballad "I Fall" from the CD "Ancient Delirium."  Loreena McKennitt's touring band members Brian Hughes (oud) and Hugh Marsh (violin) also guest on Angels Of Venice's Windham Hill release (hear Brian and Hugh on the song “Queen Of The Sun” by clicking the  “Music” button above).
